Our child protection policy

As a children's rights organization, we hold a particular responsibility to ensure that children everywhere are protected from all forms of violence.

Our Child Protection Policy forms the binding basis for child protection in our association. It describes our stance, our principles and concrete measures to prevent violations of children's rights and to deal with (suspected) cases. 

All those who come into contact with children in their own country or abroad through our association are bound by the aforementioned Child Protection Policy. This applies, for example, to members, employees or interns. They commit to respecting children's rights and actively contributing to building a safe environment for children.

To implement and further develop our Child Protection Policy, our association has elected a child protection focal person. This person is the central point of contact for all questions and concerns relating to child protection in connection with Kinderrechte Afrika e. V.

You can contact the Child Protection Focal Person if you

• Have questions about our Child Protection Policy
• Wish to report violence or any other violation of children's rights.
• Would like to discuss or confidentially communicate something about child protection (for example something you have witnessed, a suspicion, a question). This also applies if you are not quite sure whether violence or another violation of children's rights has occurred or whether Kinderrechte Afrika e. V. is involved.

All inquiries are taken seriously and treated strictly confidential.

• Write an email to the Child Protection Focal Person.
• Fill out an online questionnaire and send it to the Child Protection Focal Person.
• Use the contact form. This can be done anonymously.
